A new web site (Typealyzer.com) is offering a blog analysis to determine your psychological profile. The analysis use the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator personality types to categorize blogs. After running my blog through the analysis, it determined that the blog was ESTJ (Extraversion, Sensing, Thinking, Judging).
I’ve taken this test before and this wasn’t the same outcome. So I wouldn’t put too much faith into this analysis. After all, most bloggers don’t write about everything in their life, they usually fall into niches like technology, politics, etc. Based on this, I think I’ll need to start writing about more imaginative topics and express more feelings to be a little more balanced in the brain.
My analysis
ESTJ – The Guardians
The organizing and efficient type. They are especially attuned to setting goals and managing available resources to get the job done. Once they’ve made up their mind on something, it can be quite difficult to convince otherwise. They listen to hard facts and can have a hard time accepting new or innovative ways of doing things. The Guardians are often happy working in highly structured work environments where everyone knows the rules of the job. They respect authority and are loyal team players.

Oh this is great, thanks for posting this. Apparently, my blog is typified as an INTP, not too far off from my actual MBTI personality type…!
Ha, we had the exact same result Jim. Though you’re right, probably better for personal blogs than niche ones, but I appreciate the fact that it thinks my political analysis is highly practical with good logic and details.
I loved this. I used it in my about me section! That was fun!!
