Jim, thanks so much for the maps… I’ve been going nuts trying to find them… this is probably the best site on the net for solid info.
[...] I finally found a net source that makes sense to me. It’s Jim 2.0’s Blog. Jim seems to be mostly a programmer, although he’s got some interesting philosophy links etc. Whatever it is, he’s done a great job providing links to maps and other information at a post he calls San Diego Fire Resources (Witch Fire & others, Oct 2007). [...]
You could feel free to follow my twitter feed if you’d like more granular information as well.
Sorry, here’s the link: http://twitter.com/nateritter
Thanks for the info. I’m in Colorado but my mom is in Santee.
thanks for posting that nbc video feed. i was afraid it went down.
The maps situation is appalling. I’ve been blogging about this. There is no excuse for it.
[...] to answer specific questions. Hard to tell how well that’s working, but it’s a great idea. Jim’s Blog still has the best selection of info I’ve found and Nate Ritter’s Twitter is a [...]
Thanks for the links. They are very helpful.
Thank you for listing out these resources in one place.
The Ramona Sentinel has awesome hourly coverage of the fire in the area http://www.ramonasentinel.com for all of those who are feeling neglected
Thanks much… I really like these resources. Much helpful for this crazy incident >_<

I have also found the http://map.sdsu.edu/ link to be interesting with all sorts of maps about the current and 2003 Cedar fires.
Wishing everyone the best.
I am impressed by the courage of the inhabitants of California. Good courage in all.
A French.
[...] Hetkel oleks mul hädasti vaja mõnd võimsat jumalust, kelle poole palvetada, et San Diegos möllav tuli maha rahuneks. Mu seal elav netisõber tuli eile keset ööd üle väga pika aja MSN-i. Meie [...]

hummm
I’v got a set of very good fire location maps on my blog. These come from SDSU which is doing a Google Earth-based map of the fires. It’s the best I’ve seen yet.
Excellent Public Service post. Thanks a million.
it is staggering how we can become intimately involved in something like this – rather overwhelming in fact
one would hope that it would bring humanity closer, break down walls, barriers, and judgement and help people to understand that we are all ultimately the same
[...] I posted the San Diego Fire Resources article for myself and a few friends. Somehow, the article started to spread and 48 hours later the [...]
